How to get the most out of Points2Shop!
I have been a member, and earning prizes, of Points2Shop for close to 2 weeks now. I actually got my first prize, right from Amazon.com, after only two days of doing offers on this site. Well I have learned quite a few tricks to getting most of the offers approved, and I am generous enough to help the beginners learn these tricks so they don't waste points!

1: Get a junk email from google. This will become your best friend. Never use your real email on this site, unless you like spam!

Gmail.com

2: Get a junk phone number. This is done for the same reason as a junk email. This number may not always work for every site, and in that case put your number in BUT change the last couple numbers a bit. Oh and this site is entirely free. It is a fax/voice mail service. It can't be used with an actual phone.

K7.net

3: Finally you can sign up for Points2Shop! Please click the link at the top of my blog. This way I will get a referral bonus, which you will be able to do once you get an account. For each referral you get a $1 bonus, as well as, 15% of whatever your referralee makes. This does not take points from the referralee, Points2Shop just gives you the points for helping their site grow. It really is a great deal. Please, once you register verify your account and start doing offers because if I refer inactive people my bonuses decrease in value.
4: Doing Offers! This is truly an art, if you want to get the majority of offers approved. Just because you do an offer doesn't mean you get the points. The advertisers have to approve that you completed the offer to their liking. Some offers are easier than others, and some are nearly impossible. This is where this strategy guide really comes in handy. I will fill you all in on the things I have picked up, or read, that will help you to get more offers approved. I will try to include as many pictures as I can. If they are too small, simply click them and they will get bigger.

5: Clearing Your Cookies and Cache! This is an advanced technique that I didn't know about when I first started. This will greatly improve your approval rate, and is incredibly easy to do. What this does in theory, is delete your internet history so you can "trick" these offers into thinking you haven't done similar offers, because some companies have multiple offers and wont approve you if you have done one of theirs before.

Step One: Go to Tools then Clear Recent History. This is for Mozilla Firefox, and will be different for other browsers but very very similar.

Step Two: Click on the details tab and only check cookies and cache as pictured. Then change the "Time range to clear" to "Everything". Hit ok and your done.

Warning: This will log you out of all your various sites. Even Points2Shop.

Step Three: Do this method right before doing any of your offers to ensure the best approval rating.

6: Physically doing offers:
Click on the "Earn Points" tab next to your "My Stats". Then click on Main Offer List. Here you will be directed to the list of available offers. Start by doing offers that have high approval ratings, but don't be afraid of ones that say "Low" or "Very Low" approval. These are still very likely to be approved if you know what to do. A nice way to find good offers is to click on the "Recently Approved Offers" to see what has been approved for other members. When doing this method, look for offers that have been approved many many times. Your odds are better when doing offers that have been approved 1000 times compared to 0 times.

Pictured to the left is an example of a decent offer. It has only been approved 74 times and its rate is "Unknown" but that is because it is a new offer, just added to the site. This larger detailed page is gotten to by clicking on the offers title. Some offers will give advice on how to achieve an approval. You can follow along by clicking this link to the actually offer. LINK

Things to note when looking at an offer. Directly under the "Step 1" green box are things that are needed to complete the offer. Some offers are paid, so watch that. Some need software downloads, some just phone numbers, etc.

To get to the offer, click on the white icon with the green arrow pointing to the right. It is located just above "Earn". This will bring you to the offers website. Make sure to clear your cache and cookies before clicking the link. It will open in a new window, but don't close the Points2Shop window as you will be coming back to this site.

This is the first screen you will be brought to after clicking the icon. Say no to as much as you can, even if it may be true. You don't want to fill in extra info if you don't have to.

Once you get to your birthdate, address, etc. fill in correct information. You can use your junk email, and junk number (sometime the number wont work, but rarely does this happen).

This is the next page in the line up. If there is no "*" next to something you can usually skip it. On this page, simply hit continue and skip all of this junk. When skipping pages in this manner, be sure to let the page fully load before moving on.

This is the following page. Be sure to enter all correct information on this page. Then hit submit.

More to come! It takes a while to get all the pictures and such.

I have found myself very distracted by the internet lately. Distracted by the hopes of receiving free goodies. It definitely sounds too good to be true, as there is no such thing as a free lunch, but I have actually received a prize! It first began when I was meandering my favorite graphic design/gaming forum, gamebattles.com. I stumbled across a thread about a new site in beta that is giving out prizes for just being active and helping the site get off its feet. This site is called Lockerz.com, and after watching some testimonials on youtube.com it looked fairly promising. I signed up and gave it a try. Sent out lots of invites to friends, and got them excited about it as well.

Things havn't gone as smooth as I had hoped with Lockerz.com. I have not been entirely turned off yet, as their is hope of being rewarded. The reason things are not going well is because the prizes are always out of stock. At first it wasn't a problem because I didn't have enough points, but I have now accumulated enough points to get a free Xbox 360 game. I am sticking with it, because Lockerz.com promisses to restock their inventory sometime in November just as they did in October.

This brings me to the point of the restocking. It was a absolute mess in October, and I don't see it being much different in November. It was a mess because Lockerz.com told everyone well in advance that they were restocking at a certain day and time, so on the day of the restock over one million members tried to access the site at the same time. You can imagine how slow the site crawled. The worst part was, there could not have been many prizes, because all the prizes were out of stock before you could even open the page. I don't have high hopes for November, but I realize that Lockerz.com is not a free prize website. They are trying to create a hip community for retail and entertainment. This is just a promotional thing to get their name out there, although they will always have their PTZ system. Which reminds me, its an invite only site so if you do want to check it out let me know and Ill send you an invite.

Although Lockerz.com was a disappointment, I found a legit, prize only, website called Points2Shop. I actually found this on facebook through people complaining about Lockerz. This site is all about earning points through completing online offers. These offers are free to complete, but you do have to fill in information like; email, address, phone number, etc. Although I use my real name and address, I do have a junk email and a junk cell number that I use to get these offers completed. This has worked out very well so far. I already have a prize being shipped to my house as we speak. I started small with only a rechargeable Xbox 360 battery, because I needed one.

This site is also cool because they have varying member levels and things to do. The longer you stick around the more chances you have of getting points easier. Once you become a higher rank than "new" you can start buying tickets into a game, with your points, that gives you the possibility of winning 100x that many points. It works similar to the lottery. I just started getting into this, and if I win just one time I will turn 100 points into like 30,000 points... I keep my fingers crossed.

How the points and prizes system works is very simple. You earn say 30 points on an offer. 100 points is equal to $1. Once you get enough points you spend them on Amazon.com. This means that the prizes will never be out of stock like lockerz. It also means you can get anything your heart desires if you put in the time to get enough points. I was on their forums and noticed that one guy got a brand new PS3. That's like 300,000 points so it must have taken him a long time.

I think Ill close by saying, check out both of these sites and let me get the referring bonus! To join Points2Shop click the below link, and to join Lockerz.com send me an email at jandyman05@gmail.com.

Thanks for reading my blog. I hope that I have opened your eyes to new things.

Josh
